LONG TIME GONE with a HALLOWEEN twist

This is one of the first blocks I made. I love the low volume background. Now I want to make a quilt with only these blocks.
Monkey wrenches with fussy cut centers.

Some of the blocks on the design wall. I used a lot of scraps for this quilt.

I had to add a couple of Halloween blocks to my version of this quilt.

Pumpkin block and others from the pattern. I drew up a paper piecing template for the diamond blocks.
I find that I can't make them accurately without paper piecing.

Here I have started adding the sashing to the blocks.
Here's the completed quilt. I thought about adding the Halloween blocks a little late in the process. I wish I would have put one more on the left to balance it out a bit.
Trees and houses in a spooky forest for the back.

The back.

  1. What a delightful quilt. It's so colorful and the different blocks make your eye jump from block to block to see it all. You could call this Trick or Treat because it is definitely "Eye Candy".
