My sister sent me this quilt to quilt on my long-arm. The pattern is called "Wonky Stars" and it's from Missouri Star Quilt co. She used a Jelly Roll with tiny stars on it. It's very vibrant. I chose a Dragonfly Meander stitching pattern by Anne Bright and I used a bright aqua thread.
The quilting.
I used dragonflies because her back was a batik with dragonflies.
Then I even bound it for her using the backing fabric.
Yes, I'm a good sister like that! ha
Now to find a box...
This was a panel/kit that a friend gave me. I then passed it on to another friend and she sewed it together. I quilted it with a water meander from Anne Bright.
This design quilts out super fast and doesn't use much thread.
Here's the back that she pieced. I even managed to center it. ha
This is my #6 finish for the APQ UFO challenge group on Facebook. We had to list 12 UFOs-one for each month. They choose a number for you to work on each month. February's was #6 on the list. This was an easy finish as it only needed me to make a backing, quilt it and bind it.
Done.
Done.
And Done!
It was great to see your Sweet Land of Liberty quilt all done. It is just so bright and fun. I love the quilting pattern you chose. The design adds to the playfulness of this quilt. I sure wish my quilt top was all quilted. I envy you a little ~
