Busy month and busier week

As I was cleaning my room up this month I came across this baby size quilt that was layered and basted with thread. Talk about old! The background fabric is from my first ever quilt. ha

It is so not my style anymore. I quilted it in about 2 hours on the longarm.

It was really poofy in spots. But it came out pretty good. Just in time for Valentine's day.

The Good Fortune quilt is quilted! Did it this week.

I used a design by Anne Bright called Clamshell Sun. This quilted out really fast.

Here's the back. You can see the quilting design here. So I decided to name my quilt
"Tequila Sunrise."

I finished this one last week. The quilting was forever and a day! Custom placement of every single block!! Including the chain part.

It turned out good. Lots of dimension in the chain squares.

The back is a flannel with little snowflakes. The border is a single pass of snowflake swirl.

I used a wider than usual for me binding. Machine stitched of course. The binding is the same fabric as in the chain blocks. This quilt top was sewn together many years ago. I'm guessing at least 6.

Oh look! I made this binding yesterday. It is now sewn on and I just have to sew it to the front and it will be done today!!

I had these blocks made last summer. I just didn't like it that much because of the bias triangles I had to add to the corners. This is actually a really cool design but not my colors. It was a kit.

My friend likes burgundy so I got it back out and sewed the top together over the weekend. I just need to add the burgundy border and call it good. I will get this quilted next.

This is currently being quilted as I type this. It's the Cactus Wreath from the previous post.

This is for my other friend. She doesn't like flowers so I used this quilting design by Anne Bright called Mystic Feathers. It's turning out really nice. I love this design. It has a feather that looks like a fern leaf. Swirls and a few small circles. This will be off the longarm later today.

    1. Yes Shasta, The beginning of the month was all Chaos and the end of the month everything came together. I'm doing the Facebook UFO challenge by American Patchwork and Quilting of getting one UFO done per month. You could also just make progress on a UFO but I want them done and gone. My Triple Irish Chain was this months. Done!
