Magnolia Mystery quilt

I decided to join an online mystery quilt that started in August 2017. It required 4 fabrics. These were my picks. I got them at HobbyLobby. Here's the link for the free instructions which are available until March 2018.

I decided to add the pink fabric to the mix when I saw it at Joann's. It was a perfect compliment to the previously chosen fabrics.

Here are some of the blocks awaiting further instruction.

Here I was playing with the block layout.

So here is the body of the quilt after the final set of instructions but without the border put on.  Instructions are given for 2 different sizes. I made the lap quilt.

I altered the border by adding the small triangles that were cut off of the corners of the blocks.

I came up with this quilting design of ice skates and figure skaters as I plan to gift this to my great niece and she is taking
 ice skating lessons.

Backing and pink binding from Joann's.

Just some trimming of HSTs.
