This is a blog about the quilting projects I am working on. Some of them are actually finished! Striving to use up the stash so my sons won't have to give all that fabric away that I acquired with good intentions. Nancy

I couldn't work today because the MRI machine has been down since Fri. The part is coming in tomorrow but I will be working at the other place tomorrow so it won't affect me. Sooo I decided to clean my sewing room. I have before and after photos for you. Enjoy. I have to say the reason I don't like to clean up is because then I hate to mess it up again. So it kinda stops me from doing any work in here. It's a weird mental block I guess.

Okay so I am again using random Halloween fabrics that I have collected over the past several years and want to get out of my stash. They no longer fit in the Halloween bin. So this will use 28 fat quarters and will be a twin size quilt. I will then piece some other fabrics for the back. Love, love, love these bright colors.

This log cabin quilt was inspired by the cover of one of my old better homes and gardens quilt magazine. I saved it forever and finally made it. Pieced it last year and quilted half of it. Worked on the quilting today by machine, just straight stitches. I still need to do the borders but ran out of thread. I am using a very light gray. It blends very well.

string quilt
String quilt tutorial is from FilmintheFridge blog she has some really great quilts. I made my blocks 4 inch before sewing them together and I sent the quilt off as a table mat to my niece. Forgot to take a pic of the completed quilt. Took less than a week to make.
My friend Kari was in ka hoots with my husband for my birthday. They arranged a quilt retreat in Boulder City through Fiddlesticks quilt shop. My birthday was in January and they gave me clues as to what my surprise was, needless to say I was clueless. So this was the quilt we made. Venitian Tiles. Kari picked out the fabrics and it is finally pieced. Just has to be quilted.
