GOOD FORTUNE FINAL

Here is my final photo of Bonnie Hunter's Good Fortune Mystery Quilt.
If you want to see more versions of this quilt click the link below.

I used a yellow thread to quilt it. I used a solid gray for the binding.

I used a quilt design by Anne Bright on this called Clamshell Sun.

Here's the back. I'm calling this quilt
"Tequila Sunrise".

Here's a mini Valentine quilt that I made. The pattern is free on Temecula Quilt Company's Blog on the side bar. It's called "Hugs and Kisses".

Secret Santa Finshed

The quilting blends right in.

I used a variegated green for the top thread.

I used the same Santa fabric for the binding.

I used a dark green thread on the back. Swirls and snowflake pattern.

Temecula Secret Santa Mystery with borders

The blocks of the Mystery quilt with the sashing added.
The sashing is all words. The instructions called for sashing and then just binding. But I thought it needed something more.

So I added a red border. Still wasn't happy with it. So I added a 10 inch border to that.
This turned out to be a Twin size quilt.  So I'm calling this quilt "Santa crisscrossing the snowy sky".

These Santa Heads are large and I didn't want to cut them off so that is why I kept the border extra large. I have enough of the Santa fabric to use on the back.

Temecula Secret Santa Mystery quilt

These are 4 patches that I made for the Temecula Secret Santa Mystery Quilt.
These are the 12 blocks that I just finished today. I put them on the design wall with the extra 9 patches as corner stones.

I won't have the final instructions for this quilt until Friday. I think it needs more color. It's very boring looking. If the sashing is going to be whites then I will add a Christmas fabric as the border to brighten things up.

Temecula Secret Santa Mystery part 3

These are the blocks for part 3 of the Temecula Secret Santa Mystery quilt.

Here are all of the pieces together so far.

I'm trying to keep better track of the quilts that I make. I'm using this regular spiral bound notebook and some washi tape and stamps that I've had for a few years. I used to do a lot of scrapbooking at one time. I still use the supplies to make cards as needed. I just started this book so here's the first page with instructions for this quilt. I'm especially trying to keep track of the finishes for each year. So far I have finished 40 or so projects for 2018. They are not all posted on blog. I need to get on that!
