This is the backing to the summer quilt posted below. Isn't is cute?  I love it.  I can't wait to see what everyone has posted for the FNSI.
This is a close up of the super cute summer fabric.
This is FNSI project #2. I started this quilt at least 2 years ago. It is fun summer fabric. Jelly roll and border. So I just need to get it basted and I will do straight line quilting. I needed a gender neutral baby gift so this is going to be it. The baby is due in August so I thought it was fitting.

This is the FNSI project I have been working on. I put the last 2 borders on it today. I used all plaid, stripped and homespun fabrics from my stash. I did have to go to my LQS today to get the outer border. I had sticker shock when I looked at the price. $18 plus a yard. It's a good thing I only need a yard and a quarter. I figured the rest of the quilt was from stash so I splurged on it.

This is a close up of plaid churn dash. I did scrappy cornerstones in the center and red on the outer perimeter. I like how the red sets off the body of the quilt.I think all red would have been overpowering to the blocks. Now I am open to suggestion on how to quilt it. I was thinking of a plaid straight line pattern of my own making. Something I can do with my machine that will be fast.

Cody wanted a plaid quilt so this is his Churn Dash in progress. I need to make a total of 40 blocks for a twin size that will have sashing and cornerstones.
