Vortex quilt progress

Scraps that I hoard are finally being used for something!

This is the progress so far.

I think it's going to get a lot bigger.

I was experimenting with arrows. I came up with this one on my own.

This is so much fun to see how this is coming together.

This is fun but very time consuming.

These are leftovers from another arrow I was working on. Love the colors.
Linking up to  http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/ finish it up Friday

Christmas forest panel quilt

I bought this panel of 15 squares last Friday and cut them apart on Saturday. I came up with the stars idea and used the fast flying geese method to make them.

Here are some of the panels before adding the geese.

I'm not crazy about the last border fabric.  I wish I would have bought the large snowflake fabric from this line instead.
I really love the gray pinecone fabric sashing.

Now to get it sandwiched and quilted.

Placemats for my sister

This was a bundle of fat quarters that I got for cheap at Tuesday Morning.

I added these 3 fabrics from my stash.

I turned them into 8 placemats for my sister.

Here they are together.

These are some single shots.

I used a few pieces of my brother's work shirts.

My brother's name.

The back of the placemats was a fabric that was in my stash for a few years.

Vintage camper quilt

I love how this turned out. I traced some campers and I drew others freehand and appliqued them. I stippled the blocks and did wavy lines in the sashing and borders. This was a retirement gift for a friend at work.  I might make another one for myself someday.

I stippled the background of each block and outlined each camper.

This is the last block. I wrote on the license plate "I M DONE"
I gave this to my friend as a retirement gift. She loved it.  I didn't get a very good picture of the finished quilt. I was a bit rushed to finish it as she decided to move her retirement date up by a month.

A glamper. haha This quilt was so fun to work on.

This is a shot of the camper blocks with the vintage sign sashing.

This is the very first block I made. I love the background fabric.

Placemats

I'm making 8 placemats from leftover triangle squares. I made each one a different design. I don't have enough of the same fabric to finish them so I think I might just use white to finish the tops.

9 patch zigzag

I finished this quilt top from a kit. Pat Sloan fabrics and pattern.

Vintage Trailer Quilt

This is the first block I made for a quilt I am making for a friend of my who is retiring in October.

These are the funky blocks that I have done so far. I'm going to make a throw size for her trailer.

More styles of trailers. I free handed this one.

I call this one the "Love Shack" because it has two people in the windows.

Jelly Beans wallhanging

This idea came to me while I was making the Bunny pillow.

What can I do with these scraps-you know, the ones you throw away because they are too small. Stop doing that! Make something mini.

Chain piece it.

Cut them apart.

Iron to the color.

Put them in rows.

Throw some sashing between the rows.

Add a border and flanged binding. Iron your words on. Done!
