Temecula Secret Santa Mystery with borders

The blocks of the Mystery quilt with the sashing added.
The sashing is all words. The instructions called for sashing and then just binding. But I thought it needed something more.

So I added a red border. Still wasn't happy with it. So I added a 10 inch border to that.
This turned out to be a Twin size quilt.  So I'm calling this quilt "Santa crisscrossing the snowy sky".

These Santa Heads are large and I didn't want to cut them off so that is why I kept the border extra large. I have enough of the Santa fabric to use on the back.

  2. Wow, it's gorgeous! I love the sashing fabric you used. After my second mystery quilt I decided not to do them anymore, but I see this is one I wished I'd done. I kept the instructions so maybe I'll do it a little later.

  3. This turned out wonderfully. The Santa fabric border really enhances the inner piecing. It's absolutely delightful!!!

  7. I love your sashing and border fabrics! They really add to it. I made mine with civil war type prints, and I like it, but yours is so much more fun!
