I made some burp cloths and baby mop as I call it(changing pad) for a baby shower gift. I need to make more for a great nephew coming in April. They are so easy to make. Just draw out a dog bone shape on freezer paper and pin to 2 layers of cute flannel right sides together, sew around edge of paper, leave a space for turning and then top stitch closed. Takes about 10 minutes or less. The changing pad has a piece of batting in it and then I quilted a flower shape on it to hold batting in place. Just drew the flower shape with a plate. Simple! Non sewers think they are amazing but have no idea how quick they are. Make some! Oh yeah, got the flannel on sale at Joanne's. Half a yard makes 2, but I usually use 2 fabrics for front and back to mix it up.

I used old and new fabric for this christmas quilt. I need to get it to the long-armer. Is that a word?

Christmas quilt with borders

I am using Cosmo Cricket mostly for the block borders and Kona white solid for center of block. I am using 3 strands of embroidery floss that I have on hand, trying not to buy any more but still want to match colors to borders.

Birdie Stitches

I posted a pic on facebook of the christmas quilt and my sis in law said she would have room in her suitcase when she visits in March. It needs one more border and then quilting. Maybe she will get it after all.

I couldn't work today because the MRI machine has been down since Fri. The part is coming in tomorrow but I will be working at the other place tomorrow so it won't affect me. Sooo I decided to clean my sewing room. I have before and after photos for you. Enjoy. I have to say the reason I don't like to clean up is because then I hate to mess it up again. So it kinda stops me from doing any work in here. It's a weird mental block I guess.

Okay so I am again using random Halloween fabrics that I have collected over the past several years and want to get out of my stash. They no longer fit in the Halloween bin. So this will use 28 fat quarters and will be a twin size quilt. I will then piece some other fabrics for the back. Love, love, love these bright colors.

I got the free pattern for these from ModaBakeShop I just used some random halloween fabric that I have been collecting for a few years. I made some others that will match my embroidered Halloween quilt.
