Midnight Clear sashing made

I got all of the blocks for this Midnight Clear quilt.

The sashing is so tedious! But look at it!! It was worth it.

Sashing and 9 patch corner stones. I just got them up on the wall and will probably sew them tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I used all kinds of greens for the sashing. The pattern only used one green.  I love the variety of greens I used, it gives so much interest compared to the pattern. I also mixed up the reds in the 9 patches.

Midnight Clear Progress

Here are 3 of the blocks from Midnight Clear.

Here are the 12 blocks together. The sashing for this quilt is very intense. I think it's going to take me a while. I have to cut hundreds of squares at one and a half inches!

Midnight Clear quilt

I just started this quilt this week. The quilt calls for 12 blocks. Two of each design.
I didn't want to make them with the exact same fabrics. I switched them up a bit but used the same colors in the same spots.

I'm using what's left of a Fat Quarter bundle from Deb Strain called "Christmas Countdown" from several years ago. I used this bundle for my Christmas Cactus quilt that I am going to quilt next.

Here's the book that I am using.  Funnily enough this quilt was used as a block of the month quilt along for quilt shops. I can see why. So many pieces to cut for each block!! The black fabrics make the blocks pop!
